ACCS Workshop on Adaptive Computing: The role of Big Data

Applications exhibit diverse computational characteristics and often the fixed nature of the target architecture is a limitation to meeting performance demands. The role of adapting computing in this context is to adapt to the changing workloads in the diverse range of applications. The focus of this workshop is on exploring the role of adaptability in enhancing performance and resource efficiency in computing environments.

To complement the focus on analysis of Big Data at ADCOM 2013, this workshop will discuss strategies to adapt the computing infrastructure specifically for Big Data. The size and complexity involved in managing Big Data leads to newer challenges on energy efficiency and the need for energy-aware computing. The workshop will discuss algorithms, tools and architectures that together define the ecosystem for adaptive computing.

Through this workshop, our objective is to bring together experts with a broad range of scientific expertise and foster close collaborations. This workshop will provide a platform for open discussion to chalk out directions of future research, inspiring researchers, students and the industry.

DATE: October 24th 2013 9:30 AM to 5 PM
VENUE: Hindustan University, Chennai
Registration: The workshop is open to faculty members, students and researchers from the industry and academia. Interested participants should send an email with your name, designation and affiliation to: acw13@accsindia.org
