ACCS-CDAC FOUNDATION LECTURE AWARD WINNER FOR 2006

was awarded the ACCS-CDAC Foundation Lecture Awards for significiant contributions in Parallel System Architecture, Multicomputer Networking, Routing Techniques, Parallelism Detection and Scheduling Techniques and Reliability of Real – Time Distributed Systems.

He has four approved patents and many more patents filed and pending in the area of wireless cellular networks. As the Chair of the Technical Committee on Computer Architecture of IEEE Computer Society in 1994, he started a new symposium on High Performance Computer Architecture which has become one of the most important meetings for the research community.
