Persistent Homology on fMRI times series to understand Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)
Abstract:
Persistent Homology, a part of Topological Data Analysis (TDA), helps analyze the “shape of data,” which can be applied to functional brain networks. In this talk, we discuss how this approach can reveal structural alterations in brain networks associated with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), a neurodegenerative disorder. We will explore how Persistent Homology can aid in understanding these brain changes, providing new insights into the study of neurodegenerative disorders.
