Dr. Ramasuri Narayanam

Dr Ramasuri Narayanam is a Senior Research Scientist at Adobe Research in Bangalore, where he focuses on AI, machine learning and data-intelligence applications. Previously he spent over a decade at IBM Research – India, where he contributed to analytics solutions in social-media, telecom, retail, workflow logs and built a strong patent and publication portfolio. He holds an M.S. (2006) and a Ph.D. (2010) in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. His doctoral work received the “Best Ph.D. Thesis” award from the Computer Society of India (CSI). He was a Microsoft Research India Ph.D. Fellow (2007-10) and received an Honorable Mention from Yahoo! Labs Key Scientific Challenges in 2010. His research spans federated machine learning, hybrid data analytics, computational network science, graph-data mining, and multi-agent/game-theoretic decision making. He has authored 30+ peer-reviewed articles in top CS conferences and holds 35+ granted US patents. He is an IEEE Senior Member and designated an ACM Distinguished Speaker. In the research community he serves in leadership roles — for example as Area Chair for AAMAS 2025 and on senior program committees for IJCAI, AAAI, etc. Outside of his research pursuits, he enjoys driving, travelling and exploring new places—reflecting his curiosity and energy.
