The PhD Forum@ADCOM is a short-paper session for PhD students to present and discuss their dissertation research with peers in the Computational and Communications Sciences. This forum is a platform that enables doctoral students to seek feedback on their research while allowing the industry an insight into academic work in progress. Submissions must be related to the theme of ADCOM 2024. This Forum is one of our flagship events at the ADCOM each year and presents an opportunity to become part of a motivated special interest group of like-minded young researchers to meet leading scholars and prominent industry groups for post-doctoral opportunities.
PhD students who have progressed significantly in their research areas (submitted their PhD thesis synopsis) or have at least one Conference / Symposium / Journal paper (either published or accepted) can submit a short paper for presentation at the meeting. Submissions should not exceed Eight-pages in PDF format of the dissertation or research, including name, institution, advisor, contact information, as well as figures, and bibliography. Papers accepted for presentation in the PhD Forum@ADCOM will be published in the CCIS series of Springer. CCIS is abstracted/indexed in DBLP, Google Scholar, EI-Compendex, Mathematical Reviews, SCImago and Scopus.
Submissions must adhere to Springer CCIS format whose templates can be downloaded here:
https://www.springer.com/gp/computer-science/lncs/conference-proceedings-guidelines
Write the paper for someone familiar with your technical area, but entirely unfamiliar with your work. Clearly indicate the motivation of your research work, the uniqueness of your approach, as well as the potential contribution your approach may have on the topic. Proper spelling, grammar, and coherent organization are critical.
- If the paper is accepted for the Forum, only the author (PhD Student) should make the presentation and register for the conference.
- Submissions are only through EasyChair at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=adcom2024
- Title of the PhD Forum submissions must start with “PhD Forum 2024- [Title of your paper]”
- Accepted papers may be considered for the ‘Best Paper’ award in this category
