PROFESSION READY ENGINEERING STUDENTS THROUGH ACCS’ ADC 2024

Advanced Computing and Communications Society (ACCS, accsindia.org)’s 9th edition of the annual ACCS Design Challenge (ADC) 2024 is completed with the announcement of awardees after ‘Hardware Oriented’ projects’ presentations and demonstrations to seasoned jury at ADC 2024 finals facilitated by Bangalore’s International Institute of Information Technology (IIITB).
Beginning with more than 100 teams of senior engineering students from pan-India engineering institutions eight months back, with projects encompassing the contemporary space of Automotive, Energy, Healthcare, Infrastructure and Wearables, 9 teams including those from IIIT Bangalore, NIT Surathkal, KLE Hubli, QIS Ongole, reached the finals at IIITB on March 23, 2025 and the awardees are:
- 1st Prize: PA College of Engineering, Mangalore, Karnataka, team for ‘Nirbhaya – Unobtrusively Assured Safety’

- 2nd Prize: RV College of Engineering, Bangalore, Karnataka, team for ‘Airport Luggage trac(k)ing with Near Field Communications (NFC)’

- 3rd Prize: IIT Indore, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, team for ‘Software Defined Vehicle (SDV)’

Nurtured wih guidance, hand holding, assistance and reviews by veteran industry jury throughout, the ADC program that runs in sync with the academic calendar, emulates the AICTE mandated ‘professional project’ experience for engineering students, emphasizing on ‘working hardware’, through custom curated process’ of engineering innovation, creative ingenuity, embedded with professional diligence. This equips them with contemporary domain insights, hands-on experience, and industry-relevant competencies, thus instilling ‘readiness and employability quotient’ in the engineering students, that are essential for securing successful careers and unlocking exciting future prospects.
ACCS announces 10th edition ADC2025, in a year duration hardware centric projects program, with entries to be received from July 2025, culminating in March 2026, that shall reach out to pan India institutions, faculty, decision makers and students, while earnestly urging proactive participation and support of Industry ecosystem in heralding future India that shall be of significant role and value for their corporate plans as well.
