Department of Posts Releases Special Postal Cover to Commemorate 25th Edition of ADCOM

BENGALURU, September 05, 2019: The Advanced Computing and Communications Society (ACCS) today unveiled the 25th edition of its flagship conference – Advanced Computing and Communications (ADCOM2019).  Dr. Charles Lobo, Chief Postmaster General, Karnataka circle released a special commemorative postal cover to mark the occasion. The cover is dedicated to the pioneers – Dr. S. Ramani of the Internet Hall of Fame, Prof. V. Rajaraman of the Indian Institute of Science, Dr. N. Seshagiri, founding Director General of National Informatics Centre and Sh. N. Vittal, the then Secretary of Department of Electronics. Their yeoman service to the field contributed significantly to the growth and adoption of computing and communications technologies for mainstream India.

ADCOM is the flagship annual conference of Advanced Computing and Communications Society. The conference this year explores the 5th  generation of technology in cellular mobile and wireless communications (5G). 5G will serve as the enabling architecture and standard for Internet of Things (IoT), Low power Wide Area Networks and high-speed cellular systems leading to a variety of wireless applications requiring gigabits per seconds data transfer speeds with very low latency. Two-day long ADCOM 2019 is being held at the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIITB).
